Welcome to the site! So, what is “Share The Lemonade!” all about? I've noticed a pattern in my life, and it parallels what I read in the Bible. Here's the pattern:
Life gives us lemons;
But then God steps in and transforms those lemons into lemonade;
And then we get to Share The Lemonade with those around us;
so that God is glorified. You don't believe me? Let's take a look at an example from the Bible:
And they came over to the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes. And when he came out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains: Because he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him. And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.
This guy had some serious lemons...
But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him, and cried with a loud voice, and said, “What have I to do with you, Jesus, Son of the most high God? I adjure you by God, that you torment me not.”
For he said to him, “Come out of the man, you unclean spirit.”
And he asked him, “What is your name?”
And he answered, saying, “My name is Legion: for we are many.”
And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country. Now there was there near to the mountains a great herd of swine feeding. And all the devils besought him, saying, “Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.”
And immediately Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand) and were choked in the sea. And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done. And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
So, we see Jesus stepped in, and we see the man totally transformed, clothed and in his right mind!
And they that saw it told them how it happened to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine. And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts. And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him. However, Jesus allowed him not, but said to him, “Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and has had compassion on you.”
And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis what great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel. (Mark 5:1-20)
And he that had been transformed now shares the lemonade, in obedience to what Jesus instructed.
Face it, we have an adversary. He walks about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. The result: bad things happen. But as we watch what God does in our lives and in the lives of people around us, we often see what Joseph observed, when he revealed himself to the brothers that had sold him into slavery many years before:
…you thought evil against me; but God meant it for good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save many people alive (Genesis 50:20)
So, you say that you don't believe that God still does this today? Then take a look through this website, starting at What Great Things. This site is dedicated to sharing what great things God has done in the lives of His people in our current days. Pay special attention to The Greatest Lemonade Ever Shared! No matter what the media may report to the contrary, God is very much alive and well and transforming lives even as we speak.
